ANALISIS POSTUR TUBUH PEKERJA MENGGUNAKAN METODE OVAKO WORK POSTURE ANALYSIS SYSTEM (OWAS)

Abstract

Work posture of a worker in carrying out their work activities is one factor that can determine the outcome of its work. Poor working posture and repetitive on a working system or facility that is not ergonomic will lead to more rapid fatigue of the workers. Fatigue that often suffered on the workers will eventually lead to decreased output work.
PT.X is a garment company with various types of products. The production process starts from fabric inspection, design and pattern making, Granding and marking, sampling and cutting, pressing, sewing with different variations of the process of sewing, finishing and ending with the packaging process. From preliminary research, resulting that there are many complaints of the workers part of packaging in implementing their activities. The complaints of the workers was a complaint at the waist, back and ankle. On the packaging of the overall activity of the work done by manual material handling with the heavy workload. In this study, researcher evaluated the work posture of workers, especially packaging workers who are can be lead to musculoskeletal disorders or muscle disorders by applying OWAS. The body of the workers that are evaluated are back posture, arms posture, legs posture workload.
The research result showed that the activities of the working posture first and second on the packaging are included in category 2, which means should be improved in the future.
