Pelatihan Pengenalan Penggunaan KIT Listrik Untuk Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru IPA di Laboratorium Dasar Universitas Bung Hatta

Abstract

Guru IPA perlu menguasai keterampilan menggunakan alat peraga Fisika untuk percobaan
atau praktek tentang konsep Fisika yang diajarkan agar siswa semakin paham akan ilmu dan
konsep Fisika yang mereka pelajari. Kebanyakan alat-alat KIT Fisika yang ada di sekolah jarang
digunakan karena waktu guru terpakai lebih banyak dalam menyampaikan materi teori yang cukup
banyak. Untuk itu penulis perlu memberikan ilmu pengetahuan melalui pelatihan di laboratorium
untuk bagaimana para guru IPA dapat mengenal dan menerapkan penggunaan KIT Listrik supaya
tahu nama dan fungsi dari komponen-komponen KIT Listrik yang digunakan dalam pengajaran di
kelas dan para guru IPA bisa memanfaatkan KIT Listrik yang ada di sekolah mereka dalam
pengajaran. Pelatihan pengenalan penggunaan KIT Listrik dilakukan di laboratorium Fisika
Kampus III Universitas Bung Hatta yang dihadiri oleh beberapa guru IPA SMP swastadi kota
Padang. Pelatihan yang dilakukan mendapat sambutan yang cukup baik bagi para guru yang hadir
dan semua guru antusias dalam mengenal penggunaan KIT Listrik yang dijelaskan serta mereka
ingin sekali menerapkan ilmu pengetahuan yang diberikan dalam pengajaran IPA Fisika Listrik
nantinya bagi siswa di sekolah mereka, agar siswa lebih paham akan konsep listrik yang abstrak
selama ini.

Science teachers need to master the skills of using Physics teaching aids for experiments or
practice on the Physics concepts being taught so that students understand more about the Physics
knowledge and concepts they are learning. Most of the Physics KIT tools in schools are rarely
used because the teacher's time is used up more in delivering quite a lot of theoretical material.
For this reason, the author needs to provide knowledge through training in the laboratory for how
science teachers can recognize and apply the use of the Electric KIT so that they know the names
and functions of the Electric KIT components used in teaching in class and Science teachers can
make use of the existing Electric KIT in their school in teaching. The introductory training on the
use of the Electricity Kit was carried out at the Physics laboratory of Campus III, Bung Hatta
University which was attended by several private junior high school science teachers in the city of
Padang. The training was well received by the teachers who were present and all the teachers
were enthusiastic about the use of the Electrical KIT described and they were eager to apply the
knowledge provided in teaching Electrical Physics Science later for students in their schools, so
that students would better understand abstract concept of electricity so far
