Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has had a significant impact on various sectors, including the
pharmaceutical industry. One of the innovations that has emerged is the implementation of a web-based
pharmacy sales system, which allows consumers to order medications online quickly and easily. This study
aims to evaluate the effectiveness and benefits of the web-based pharmacy sales system, as well as to identify
the challenges faced during its implementation. The research approach used in this study includes a literature
review and interviews with pharmacy managers who have implemented the system. The findings show that the
web-based pharmacy system provides convenience for customers in ordering both prescription and over-thecounter
medications, as well as streamlining inventory management more efficiently. Additionally, this system
enhances the accessibility of pharmacy services, especially for people in remote areas. However, challenges
such as data security issues, compliance with regulations, and the need for adequate technological
infrastructure were identified. Therefore, it is crucial for pharmacies to ensure the security and legal
compliance aspects to maintain the smooth and sustainable operation of the web-based sales system.
