Abstract
ABSTRACT
Thalassemia is the single most common gene disorder and affects the ability to
survive due to chronic anemia caused by inheriting hemoglobin (Hb) abnormalities from
parents. During treatment, children are usually accompanied by parents, and most often
are mothers. Mothers have an important role in caring for and caring for their children.
Mothers who have children with thalassemia have experienced psychological disorders,
such as feeling unacceptable, losing, sadness and guilt. The purpose of this study is to
find a subjective well being picture of mothers who have thalassemia children at X
Housing. The type of research used is qualitative with a case study approach with
interview data collection techniques using a self-guided interview guide and sampling
criteria with purposive sampling, with the number of subjects three mothers who have
children with thalassemia aged over 10 years. The results showed that the cognitive
