Abstract

Thermochemical conversion processes can produce a variety of products, from electricity and
heat to liquid fuels (such as biodiesel) and high-value chemicals. This provides flexibility to meet
various energy needs. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a literature
review as a data collection technique. By optimizing various stages of the biomass conversion
process, from raw material selection to product valorization, the study aims to address critical
challenges in energy production, environmental protection, and resource conservation, paving the
way towards a more sustainable and circular bioeconomy. The spatial landscape demonstrates the
global interest in thermochemical conversion.
