Abstract

The Student Community Service (KKM) program is a form of community engagement that allows university students to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during their higher education. UNIBA KKM Group 78 conducted an ecoprinting activity at SDN 1 Sumurbandung to boost student creativity while fostering environmental awareness. Ecoprinting is a technique for creating patterns on fabric using plant parts—such as leaves and flowers—by transferring their natural shapes and colors onto the fabric's surface. This activity holds educational, creative, and environmental value, as it enables students to discover and utilize natural materials found in their immediate surroundings. The activity was carried out through an introduction to ecoprinting, an explanation of the necessary tools and materials, a technique demonstration, hands-on practice, guided assistance, and an evaluation of the finished works. The results indicate that the ecoprinting activity created an engaging and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Students showed enthusiasm in selecting leaves and flowers, arranging patterns, and creatively producing their own pieces. Beyond skill development, the activity taught students to recognize the potential of their local environment as a learning resource. Thus, ecoprinting serves as an alternative educational activity that integrates creativity, skill-building, and environmental awareness.
