Abstract

The porpose of this study was to determine the relationship of self-concept and social support of parents with
academic procrastination in students of class XI IPA SMAN 2 Babelan Bekasi. This research is quantitative.
The research population totaled 180 students of XI IPA class with 138 students as a research sample.
Sampling techniques in this study use simple random sampling. The data analysis method in this study uses
Bivariate correlation and Multivariate Correlation methods with the SPSS 25 Statistics for Windows
program. Analysis using Bivariate correlation showed that there was a significant negative-directional
relationship between self-concept and academic procrastination with a correlate value of r= -0,592, p=0,000
(p<0,05) and there is a significant negatively-directed relationship between social support of parents with
academical procrestination obtained correlated value of r= -0,549, p= 0,000 (P<0,05). The next analysis
using Multivariate correlation obtained the value of R= 0,676, p = 0,000 (P<0,05). This shows that there is
a relationship of self-concept and social support of parents with academic procrastination in students of
class XI IPA SMAN 2 Babelan Bekasi.
