Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of interpersonal
communication and perception of the physical work environment on job satisfaction of
employees at PT. X. The sampling technique used the total sampling method with a
sample of 51 people. This study processes data using the SPSS 22.0 for windows. Based
on result of multiple regression analysis, the results obtained R = 0,662; R Square =
0,438 with p= 0,000. This shows that there is an influence of interpersonal
communication and perception of the physical work environment on job satisfaction of
employees at PT. X. The contribution of interpersonal communication and perception of
the physical work environment together was 43,8%, of which 56,2% was contributed by
other factors not examined in this studi. In the result of stepwise data analysis, the
contribution of interpersonal communication to job satisfaction is much more dominant
than perception of the physical work environment, which is 38,8%.
