Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence, growth mindset, and self efficacy
among students class XI at SMAN 4 Jakarta. The study utilized a proposional random sampling technique, with
a sample size of 140 students from a population of 120 students. The results of the bivariate correlation analysis
revealed a significant positive association between emotional intelligence and self efficacy (r = 0,330),
indicating that a stronger emotional intelligence is linked to stronger levels of self efficacy, additionally,
there was a significant positive correlation between growth mindset and self efficacy (r = 0,274), indicating
that a stronger growth mindset is linked to stronger levels of self efficacy. Furthermore, the multivariate
correlation analysis yielded a coefficient of r = 0,363 and R
2
= 0,132, with p < 0,001. Indicating that emotional
intelligence contributes 10,9% and growth mindset contribute 7,5% to self efficacy. This indicates a
relationship between emotional intelligence, growth mindset, and self efficacy among students class XI at
SMAN 4 Jakarta.
