Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between positive self-efficacy and can play
an important role in increasing students motivation to learn English. The approach used in this
study is a quantitative approach using the scale method, observation, and interview. The
population in this study is 50 students of the class of 2018 in one private university in Yogyakarta
who are taking English subject. The research hypothesis shows that there is a positive impact
between positive self-efficacy and can play an important role in increasing students motivation
to learn English.
