STRESS PADA PENGEMUDI OJEK ONLINE DI PANDEMIC COVID-19 MASA NEW NORMAL DI JAKARTA
Abstract
Online motorcycle taxis in recent years have developed into new jobs for many people. By
joining as an online motorcycle taxi driver, people can earn additional income without being tied
to work time. During the Covid-19 pandemic, online motorcycle taxi drivers were significantly
affected by the reduction in online motorcycle taxi users, which caused many online motorcycle
taxi drivers to have economic difficulties and have an impact on the welfare of life and cause
stress. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between coping strategies and
stress on online motorcycle taxi drivers in the new normal Covid-19 pandemic in Jakarta. This
study uses the DASS scale instrument and the Ways of Coping Questionnaire (WCQ) scale. The
hypotheses were tested using bivariate correlations of Kendall's tau-b. From the correlation test
between coping strategies and stress, it was found that the correlation coefficient r = 0.215 with p
= 0.000 p <0.05. Thus it can be concluded that there is a positive (unidirectional) relationship
between the Stress variable and the Coping Strategy with a low level of closeness.
