Analisis Peran Stakeholder dan Dampak Pembangunan Jembatan Gantung Desa dalam Pengentasan Kemiskinan di Jawa Barat

Abstract

The suspension bridge, known as the "heart" of the village, is an infrastructure project initiated by
the Government of West Java. Its primary function is to connect two road ends that were previously
inaccessible due to obstacles, rivers, and waterways in rural areas. The construction of these
bridges aims to provide easy access to education and economic opportunities, expedite disaster
management, and promote the development of rural tourism potential. The overall objectives are to
foster balanced development, enhance governance, and increase the capacity of villages in poverty
alleviation efforts. The specific research objectives are (1) to analyze the roles of stakeholders in
the construction of village suspension bridges, (2) to assess the impact of village suspension bridge
construction on increasing community welfare and reducing poverty in West Java. A descriptive
research approach with a qualitative focus was employed as the research methodology. Primary
and secondary data were collected using purposive sampling and Focus Group Discussion methods.
The research findings reveal the varying impacts of the bridge construction on infrastructure,
economy, social dynamics, and the environment. Additionally, the study highlights the importance
of stakeholder engagement in development initiatives, which plays a crucial role in optimizing the
outcomes of the projects. Furthermore, the research identifies potential obstacles in the development
process, particularly related to the economy and community mobility. By addressing these obstacles,
immediate improvements in people's welfare and poverty alleviation can be achieved
