Interaksi Sosial dalam Game Mobile Legends: Analisis Pembentukan Keterampilan Sosial Mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Sosiologi Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa

Abstrak

Online games, particularly Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, have become a significant phenomenon in contemporary digital society. This study focuses on social interaction within the game and its role in shaping social skills among students of the Sociology Education Department at Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. As a team-based online game, Mobile Legends requires players to communicate, cooperate, and coordinate strategies to achieve collective goals, making it a dynamic space for social interaction. This research adopts a qualitative approach using descriptive methods through observation and in-depth interviews with students who actively play Mobile Legends. The study aims to analyze forms of social interaction that occur during gameplay and examine how these interactions contribute to the development of students’ social skills, including communication, teamwork, leadership, and emotional regulation. The findings indicate that social interaction in Mobile Legends plays a positive role in fostering social skills through continuous communication, role distribution, and collaborative problem-solving. This study contributes to the understanding of digital games as virtual social spaces that have educational and social value beyond entertainment.
