Abstract

Air Pollution is a serious threat to the public's health, especially in areas where there are little opportunities for maintaining the quality of the environment. The goal of this study is to develop and deploy the Internet of Things (IoT)-based Sensor Network System (WSN) for real-time udara pollution monitoring. The approach used is Research and Development (R&D) through experimental research. This system is developed by integrating the Arduino Uno microcontroller, the ESP32 communication module, and the MQ-135 gas sensor to collect data on gas concentrations. Data from the sensor node is sent nirkabel to the Internet of Things platform, converted into an udara quality index, and then processed digitally. The results of the investigation show that the system is capable of detecting and adjusting pollution levels in a responsive manner, from aman conditions (50–60 ppm) to berbahaya conditions (over 100 ppm), which automatically sound a warning buzzer. Through the use of this IoT-based WSN, sebaran polusi udara in residential areas can be carried out in a dynamic manner. This system helps the general public by providing valid baseline data for those who are interested in developing environmentally sound mitigation strategies.
